Arrowhead Provincial Park

Enjoy a leisurely hike to Stubbs Falls. Don’t forget the panoramic view of the Big East River at Big Bend lookout, with one of Ontario’s biggest glacial delta views.

Beautiful hike to thundering whitewater falls that flow into Oxtongue River, with great views from both the bottom and top of the falls.

Algonquin Provincial Park

Many scenic hikes can be found all along Hwy 60. Our favourites include the leisurely Hardwood Lookout Trail and moderate Hemlock Bluff Trail.

Best of Beaches

Arrowhead Beaches

Price: Free (with park pass)

Three clean and sandy beaches on quiet Arrowhead Lake. There is plenty of parking, change rooms, washroom facilities as well as kayak, canoe and paddleboard rentals.

Dwight Beach

Price: Free

Small local sandy beach with shallow warm water, great for small kids. Beautiful views of lake of bays. Some parking and public washroom facilities are available.

Hutcheson Beach

Price: Free

Pretty and clean sandy beach, with a picnic shelter and playground. Water is shallow really far out, great for wading on a hot summer day. Parking and porta-potties are on site.

Santa’s Village

Price: $45/pp, kids under 36″ are free

Perfect day trip for your kids to enjoy fun rides and attractions, visit Elf School and have Santa confirm the Naughty and the Nice list. Muskoka’s Theme Park is only 45 minutes away.

Paddle Boats on Main

Price: $25-$30/hour

Rent a family paddle boat from Algonquin Outfitters on Main Street and explore the Swinging Bridge, Hunters Bay and the Narrows, or the calm river down to Fairy Lake.

Heritage Place Train Station

Visit the recreated train station and Steam Museum and ride aboard the heritage train on a 30 minute round trip along scenic Muskoka River.
